Nature has worn new garniture with the tinge of winter. People bask in the pleasant sunshine in the morning or put on a jacket or a shawl at night to embrace the chilling winter wind. This is a time to sip on your warm cup of tea while gazing upon poetry. But the digital natives find warmth in new smart devices. Considering the ambience, Samsung Bangladesh is going to launch its latest smartphone Galaxy M30s. Already, the handset has made its landfall in India and waiting to be available in Bangladesh soon.
Usually, Samsung M series handsets offer more than just a known brand name. The speedy performance with a long-lasting battery and amazing latest features has already given this smartphone a special stature among the tech-savvy generation. Galaxy M30s is also not the exception. It is much handier than we expected, considering the mighty 6,000 mAh battery. The special features of the device include:

1080 x 2400 pixels and a small Infinity-U notch on the top.

setup at the back, consisting of a 48-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel wide-angle

Galaxy M30s will also uphold its reputation.
No one in South Korea or Lee Byung-Chul himself had ever thought that his small grocery store will one day become a multi-billion-dollar company. A company that will change the history of innovation in the world. This little venture, now as we know as Samsung, has reshaped the world with its incredible innovation and technology.
Since November 1, 1938, the beginning of the company; Samsung has expanded into various businesses including construction, insurance, retail business, and shipbuilding.
After 32 years of its inception, the company produced its first-ever electronic product – 12-inch black and white television.
Driven by the simple but profound goal of creating meaningful innovation, Samsung has pushed the limits of mobile technology and set the standard for what the smartphone can and should be. Right from the beginning, the company saw the potential of turning the mobile phone into a multi-functional device. The release of TV phone in 1999 brought entertainment to the palm of our hands, while the built-in 10-megapixel camera on the Samsung B600 brought high-quality photography and the mobile phone together.
The Galaxy series
In 2002, Samsung launched the True Color Phone, introducing the world to the active matrix LCD display, and paving the way for the innovations in mobile display technology that are synonymous with the Galaxy series. Over the years the Galaxy series continued to break new ground, improving and expanding the smartphone experience with each new device. With its Galaxy Note series, Samsung introduced a new category of smartphones – the phablet – which has been widely copied by competitors. Currently, Samsung is the world’s largest manufacturer of mobile phones.
Ever since the original black and
white TV, Samsung has been introducing cutting-edge technologies across its
consumer electronics, home appliances, and mobile businesses. The company’s
innovation process began with research conducted by multidisciplinary teams of
designers, engineers, marketers, ethnographers, musicians, and writers, who
searched for users’ unmet need and identify the cultural, technological, and
Style and substance
Samsung has built an impressive
record on design, garnering more awards than any other company in recent years.
The bold design of its televisions often defies conventional style. Samsung has
been the world’s number one TV manufacturer for 13 consecutive years now. The
company’s market-leading journey began in 2006 when Samsung unveiled the
Bordeaux TV with an LCD display.
Inspired by the round-shaped glasses, the Bordeaux laid the foundation for a new era of TV design. A couple of years later, Samsung launched the world’s first edge-lit TV, before introducing LED TVs in 2009, followed by a groundbreaking development of Smart TVs on 2011, where they enabled internet access on television. From then onwards, Samsung brought many other pioneering developments starting from first curved OLED to the latest QLED 8k TVs.
Let’s not forget, Samsung has also
developed various home and kitchen appliances. The company’s ground-breaking
and consumer-focused products have challenged the routines and stereotypes, by
leading the market into delivering true innovations and convenience to its
valued consumers. Samsung will maintain the market leadership position with
premium, innovative products like the FamilyHub refrigerator featuring advanced
voice recognition technology that is guaranteed to improve family communication,
the FlexWash washing machine which can support two simultaneous or separate
washes of different clothing capacities and fabric types, and the WindFree air
conditioner for staying cool without direct wind.
Samsung Electronics rapid rise and
technical achievements put the company in the spotlight in the semiconductor
industry. Its 4-megabit chip, in fact, had made the company the leading global
producer of DRAM (dynamic random-access memory) chips by early 1995. Currently,
Samsung is the largest memory chip manufacturer in the world.
Changing the world with innovation
The innovation that Samsung has
brought for the last 50 years has opened up the world to endless possibilities
for consumers everywhere. The next chapter of electronics industry story will
soon begin, and one thing can be said for sure: Samsung will continue to
develop meaningful breakthrough designs to help you do more of what you love.

Recently, Samsung has been focusing on producing budget-friendly phones. This market strategy is no doubt implemented to capture the Indian market; which has in recent times been enamored with Xiaomi phones. For a subcontinental behavior which demands more for less, Samsung has provided phones like the M20/30 and the A30. This phone is more of the same strategy, but for a slightly higher price point. The Galaxy M40 might be the best option to go for on a roughly 30K budget.
First impression and specs
Out of the Galaxy M line of phones, this has the most processing beef; due to the Snapdragon 675 processor along with 6 GB RAM. The immediate impression upon getting this device in your hand is that Samsung is trying to make this feel like one of the premium phones. That’s the only reason I can think of for getting rid of the headphone jack. It has an Infinity-O display with 91.8% screen to body ratio. It is also a pinhole screen (selfie camera on the screen), no doubt a compensation for the lack of an AMOLED panel. However, watching videos and playing games on this phone is still a treat. The body is polycarbonate material.
The M40 is USB-C fast charging enabled. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and also offers facial scanning. The device is very light and wieldy, proving significant attention to feel on the hand. Overall, it looks, feels and is modelled after the premium Samsung Galaxy phones.
Performance and software
While the specs offered are impressive, the utilization of the software on this phone feels a bit underwhelming. As opposed to the similarly priced M30 and A50, the M40 is a more basic experience. The UI is less intuitive and offers fewer options. It is missing some relatively small but important features; like a blue light filter, which Samsung has promised in an update. However, the M40 shows remarkable fortitude while multitasking. It is also very impressive at hardware intensive processes like editing and gaming. The positives are somewhat undercut by the measly 3500 mAh battery, even though it offers fast charging. Overall, a very fast and responsive phone; but leaves you wanting for more.
The M40 implements a vertically placed triple camera; with a 32mp primary lens, 5 mp depth sensor and 8mp 123 degree wide lens. There’s a 16mp front camera for selfies. There are a couple of neat features and filters in the camera software that might appeal to you. The picture output of the cameras can be summed up as “good”. It’s not the best out there, but it’s good enough given the specs and the price. Pictures look natural and vibrant with rich colors. And the only weakness of the camera seems to be blurry edges and a slight lack of detail. The real magic happens while capturing videos, as this seems to be the best stabilization on a camera at this price range.
While the lack of a headphone jack makes me want to remove this phone immediately out of consideration, the truth is that the M40 is a very reasonable choice at the price point. The similarly priced A50 might be a bit better for efficiency-oriented individuals. But the premium looks and feel the M40 offers places it into an entirely different bracket. Go for this if you want a good looking, ultraslim and wieldy, decent smartphone.
Samsung has revitalized Galaxy A series for the generation that prefers to stay ‘Live’ all the time. Samsung Mobile Bangladesh has launched its first rotating triple camera, Galaxy A80 on July 25, 2019.

allows people to take selfies with the rear camera. The phone features a triple
camera with 48MP as the primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor for a wider view
than what the human eye can see, and a 3D depth sensor for accurate bokeh
effect as well as AR-based measurement applications.
powerhouse performer packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 Processor along with 8 GM
of RAM and 128 GB of ROM.
Galaxy A80 also features Samsung’s first new Infinity Display, an expansive,
edge-to-edge, 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen. This new display allows people
to immerse themselves in a cinematic multimedia experience. The phone also
packs in a 3,700mAh battery, backed by an ‘intelligent’ algorithm that will
identify the user’s usage patterns to reduce any wastage of power and will
offer the most engaging performance.
The Galaxy A80 is available in three colours – Ghost White, Phantom Black, and Angel Gold.
Special offers and promotions
heighten the excitement of the customers, Samsung will be running a launch
promotional campaign from 25th July to August 31, 2019, when
customers will be able to purchase the phone at a discounted price – BDT
74,490, instead of BDT 77,490.

60,000, which can be used when buying selected Samsung refrigerators.

Furthermore, customers will enjoy 50% off on the ‘Never Mind’ offer upon purchasing the 2nd year extended warranty. Let us begin with an analogy. Steven Soderbergh’s latest film High Flying Bird was shot entirely on a smartphone. Referring to this award-winning director, it is like ‘writing script in pencil’. The director replied so to his fellow visionary director, Christopher Nolan, when Nolan challenged him to go back to shooting on film. This thrilling dunk had its world premiere at the Slamdance Film Festival earlier this year. It received accolades from both the critics and the audiences.
Technology and filmmaking
When it comes to film making, one would surely think of new technological advent in equipment. But in reality, there are a lot of things that will appear with that thinking which may confine the opportunity of becoming a film-maker, when you also have the chance to shoot your dream with just a smartphone. Soderbergh and other directors prove that it’s not about the camera, the best camera you got probably in your pocket to make your vision into reality.
celebrated director Shafayet Mansoor Rana took the idea further and decided to
try his hand at writing his script in the metaphorical pencil and it certainly
worked. He successfully delivered the first ever professional production
completely shot on a smartphone in Bangladesh. The film, Ferar Gaan, was
released last week as the iflix original on this popular streaming platform.
The film has been entirely shot using Samsung flagship smartphone Galaxy
the opening sequence of this short, we see two men looking for an address quite
frantically. When they finally get to their desired destination, the person
gets shell shocked and falls to the ground with awe and the title pops-up on
the screen. The director pushes us back to two months earlier. The film is
starred by rock icon Jon Kabir, popular actor Azmeri Asha and Sayeed Zaman
Shawon. This short is split into three chapters which portrayed the
vicissitudes of the life of Rubab Khan, the famous star played by Jon Kabir.
plot revolves around him, his music, his fame, his losses and how he reclaims
his lost kingdom with the strike of a moment of epiphany. Rubab Khan was very
popular and surrounded by millions of fans, but his ego and snobbishness made
him fall from the sky. On his prime, one day, a diehard fan of Rubab Khan,
played by Sayeed Zaman Shawon, made his way to the backstage despite strict
restrictions and asked for a selfie with his icon. In response, he got a tight
slap and very rude behavior from his icon and later was thrown out by the
guards. The very next morning, Rubab finds out that he has lost his gifted
voice. And eventually, he lost everything including his fascinating career, his
fans, and even his girlfriend, played by Azmeri Asha.
Filmmaking with smartphone
story of Ferar Gaan is penned by Tanvir Chowdhury, the person behind the
operation of the camera is Sumon Sarkar and the uplifting music is composed by
Fuad Al Muktadir. Ferar Gaan was shot entirely with Samsung Galaxy S10+ which
features three rear professional grade cameras consisting of a 12MP wide lens,
12MP telephoto lens, and 16MP Ultra-Wide lens which records 4000 pixels
horizontally video very easily. No additional lenses were being used to shoot
the film. And the director didn’t do much manipulation after shooting, thanks
to Samsung’s ground-breaking innovation.
would love the fact about making a movie with the handiest yet advantageous
device like Samsung S10+ that they can make a very quick decision and perform
creative execution albeit spending very less than shooting with the equipment
screams movie camera. As Soderbergh said, ‘If you want the lens on the wall,
you don’t have to cut a hole in the wall and put the camera behind it. It’s a
creative duo Shafayet Mansoor Rana and Sumon Sarkar carried out an experiment
with a spontaneous style which delivered the audiences a worth-watching
40-minutes story of redemption. That has the merit to revive the viewers with
