‘EATL-Prothom Alo App Contest 2015’ has declared and awarded 10 winning teams in the contest in its grand finale this Sunday. 1st prize of the 10 winning team went to Us-Guardian team of Khulna University for making a Rickshaw Racing game. 1st prize includes 10 lakh taka. Members of the winning team are Ferdous Bin Ali, Riad Junaid, Anirudha Prithul and Pichai Mandal.
The grand finale was held at Bangladesh Agriculturalist Institute Auditorium. The contest was organized by Ethics Advanced Technology Limited (EATL).
Second prize of the contest has gone to Dhaka University team Vikings Re-Incarnated for their ‘Safety Ensured’ app. Members of this team are Md. Al-Zihad and Saad Ahmed Akash. They have received 5 lakh for their second prize.
Travel and Tourism-based app ‘Exploring Bangladesh’ has won third prize in the contest. The app is developed by an Islamic University of Technology team comprising Md. Moshi Masnad Orko, Nafiz Hasan Khan, Sihabuzzaman and Sihab Hasan. The team has received three lakh taka for 3rd prize.
Fourth place has gone to Antiviral Studio’s Maksudul Haque, Sadikur Rahman, Roy Debashish and Shihab Alvee for their 2D arcade game ‘Infernal Crussade’. Fifth place has gone to ULAB students for their primary education based app.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith was the Chief Guest of the ending ceremony. ICT State Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak was Special Guest at the event, along with Vice-Chancellor of University of Asia Pacific Dr. Jamilur Reza Chowdhury, Grameephone’s Chief Commercial Officer Yasir Azman, Prothom Alo’s Editor Motiur Rahman and EATL’s Managing Director MA Mubin Khan.
