Students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, BUET, continue their sit in for the fifth consecutive day pressing their 16 points demand. The protesters have locked down the administrative building and vice-chancellor’s office.
BUET students have been demonstrating since Saturday staging a 16-point demand that includes the introduction of digital students’ payment process, the introduction of teacher evaluation system, increased allocation in the research sector and recruitment of a student-friendly director of student’s welfare among others.
As the deadline for meeting their demands was over yesterday, it is likely that the demonstration and sit in will continue for days to come.
