Grameenphone introduced two co-branded smartphones at an event on the 12th of August at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital. The telecom giant showed off the Symphony G100 and Micromax B5 Pro.
The chief guest of the event was the commissioner of BTRC, Mister Aminul Hasan. Other notables at the event were Yasir Azman, the deputy CEO and CMO of Grameenphone. Mahmud Hossain, CCAO of Grameenphone, was also present. The senior director of Symphony, Md Maksudur Rahman, and Samir Kakar, Micromax’ VP and International Business Head, were also present.
Saying affordable 4G was very important for people to adopt 4G, the BRTC commissioner thanked the corporation upon the announcement.
Yasir Azman boasted of Grameenphone having the best cellular network in the country. He said that Grameenphone strives to give the customers the latest tech, and noted that today was another step towards that goal.
Both the Symphony G100 and Micromax B5 pro are budget sets aimed at people with not a lot of money to spare. The G100 is the cheaper of the two at BDT 5,999. It comes with Android 8.1 Go edition and comes with a very humble 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of ROM. It also comes equipped with a 1.3 GHz quad-core CPU and 5 Megapixel cameras on both front and back.
